Dear colleagues,

Just to confirm that the Y5/6 Girls' Final will be between Woodborough Woods and Richard Bonington or All Hallows (semi-final still to be played).

The final will take place on Tuesday 16th May at Arnold Town FC. Kick off will be at 4.15pm. A qualified referee has been booked.

The two finalists may need to discuss kits in order to avoid a clash.

Please arrive at Arnold Town by 4.00pm at the latest. Plenty of parking is available. (Eagle Valley, Oxton Rd, Nottingham NG5 8PS)

Please also be aware that the club will be selling refreshments so you may wish to inform your parents and spectators.

The GPSFA ask that the following statements are included on all correspondence to parents/carers.

· Parents and spectators are reminded that, as with all school sports events, only encouragement should be shouted from the side of the pitch. Team selection and tactical decisions are the sole responsibility of the member of staff in charge.

· _______ School fully supports the FA's Respect programme aimed at tackling abusive and unacceptable behaviour towards referees and young people.

The final will be 20 minutes each way. If it is a draw after 40 minutes, 5 minutes each way of extra time will be played and then 3 penalties per team (if required).

I am looking forward to watching what should be a brilliant match.

Hi everyone,

Details for the knock out stages of the Gedling Y5/6 football competition are now on the website. As always, the timescales are tight but please play the games by the stated dates as the date of the final is fixed and cannot be changed.

Thank you for submitting your results. Qualification was based on the criteria sent out in September (available to view on the website). This raised a few contentious issues when Tom and I met today and has given us some decisions to make regarding next season's rules.

League winners: Please let Tom Darby know how many medals you require.

Trophies: Please could the trophies be returned to Tom or I as soon as possible. They are currently held by Mapperley Plains, Arno Vale, Ernehale and Good Shepherd.

May tournaments: Entry details will be sent out/put on the website straight after Easter.

Have a good break!

Chris and Tom
